I began thatching more than twenty years ago in England.  I then went to Holland and Denmark to hone my skills working with Europe’s best thatchers with whom I am still in contact.

I provide a quality thatching service with integrity. New or re-thatches, ridges, repair and maintenance, fire protection and advice. Roof surveys, listed buildings and insurance advice. I will thatch your gazebo or other garden structure or organise building one from scratch.

I have worked in all parts of the UK including the North & South of Ireland. I am based in Cheshire and regularly work for The National Trust and The Capesthorne Estate; I have also given thatching demonstrations at various events.

Getting a new thatch is one of the most important events in your life and there are many factors to consider. Talk to your thatcher about the material which will go on and the method of fixing. Most new thatches will look good when finished but you also want to know what it will look like in ten years’ time.

Cost will also be a consideration and I can say that I have always strived to keep prices competitive whilst providing quality.
