Composite Panels – Fibrefusion designs and develops panels made from carbon fibre and other high-performance fibre reinforced resins for a variety of industries and clients. The versatility, strength and aesthetic properties of composite materials lend them to a wide range of applications and environments from packaging and medical equipment to aerospace, motor sport, and yachting.

Fibrefusion designs and finishes products to an excellent standard – reliably and consistently.

Waterjet Cutting
Waterjet Cutting is a process that offers cost effective manufacturing solutions across a broad spectrum of applications. Just about any material up to 150mm thick (and in some cases thicker) can be cut to produce precision components, large or small in simple or the most complex of shapes.
AdvantagesCapabilitiesBecause Waterjet cutting is a cold process, the molecular structure of the material being cut will not change and together with the fact that there are no cutting forces, components are produced free from Stress and Distortion. The edge finish is clean and of high quality as well as being free from burr.

Flat Panel Laminates and Sandwiches
At Fibrefusion, our speciality is the design and manufacture of top quality fibre-reinforced laminated sheets and our range of laminates is almost unlimited. We have a 400 bar (100 tonne) press with heated platens big enough to laminate sheets up to 8ft by 4ft (2.44m x 1.22m). You can specify any core material from carbon fibre or glass fibre wadding to foam or super lightweight honeycomb. These can be faced with composite sheets from woven glass (in a variety of colours), carbon fibre, an aramid/carbon mix (for significantly improved impact resistance) or any other mixture. They can be finished in satin or gloss for decorative purposes or textured for construction purposes. You can even have an outer face of melamine or Formica in almost any colour or design and the sandwich can be any thickness and material combination according to your own requirements.

Our laminated sheets are heat set in a vacuum or between the platens of our press and are temperature stable up to 80 C. You can buy them as flat panels in sizes that suit you or in any shape you can imagine, cut with our in-house waterjet cutter to very close tolerances. We can accurately and reliably supply parts or kits of parts in any quantity.

CNC Routing
As well as the Water jet Profiling and Composite Panels, Fibrefusion can also offer CNC Routing.

In summary a CNC Router is a precision profiling machine that has three Axes (X, Y and Z) , controlled via a computer to quickly and accurately manufacture parts and products.

Here at Fibrefusion, we have a 3m x 2m Tekcel EXR.
