What is a Whirlpool Bath?
A Whirlpool Bath can come in many shapes, colors, and sizes. We specialize in the supply of bespoke baths made to order at our UK factory. We supply standard whirlpool baths (1700x700mm), offset corner baths (1500x1000mm), large corner baths (1400x1400mm), double-ended baths (1700x750mm +), large baths (1800x900mm +), and deep soaking plunge tubs (1050x750mm +). We also carry a wide range of shower baths, including P shapes, L shapes from brands such as Trojan, Carron, Saninova, and Artisan.
How do they work?
Whirlpool baths are operated by air and water. The suction of the whirlpool takes the water from the bath and into the pump. The motor then uses air to pump the water around the pipework and out of the jets.
How are they made?
All baths are fully manufactured before being sent to have a whirlpool fitted. The pipework for the whirlpool is then installed and connected to the bath through the motor. The motor is operated by a pneumatic push button and requires a 240V, 13 amp power supply, including live, neutral, and earth (additional exponential earth located on the side of the pump). Please note that the exponential earth connection to the motor is in addition to the supply cord and must be carried out.
How to look after them.
Whirlpool baths should always be cleaned after use, preferably using our tried and tested Whirlpool sterilizing tablets. On a 6-8 week basis, depending on usage, a specialist Whirlpool pipe cleaner should be used. We recommend not using ordinary bubble bath. Instead, we have specially formulated low foaming bath oils and bubble baths available for purchase from our shop. The film of insoluble soap products and grime that may accumulate on the side of the bath can be easily removed by rinsing with warm water and a soft cloth. In hard water districts, insoluble lime salts may be deposited below the waterline and under leaking taps. Prompt cleaning is the best solution. Hot soapy water and a cloth should be used, followed by drying the bath. Abrasive cleaners must not be used on chrome or gold plated fittings.
