At Tony Hamer & Sons Ltd, our aim is to not only serve our customers with commitment and professionalism, but also to conduct our business in a way that meets the high standards that our customers expect from us.

We are a highly successful general haulier and merchants of building and decorative aggregates. Our company was founded by Tony Hamer in 1964, when he decided to leave the family farming business. Initially, he worked for a local company called Tern Hill Sand & Gravel, delivering aggregates with a single lorry.

In 1968, Tony bought a B Licence, allowing him to carry other goods. His fleet grew to two vehicles, a Bedford TK and a Ford Trader. As demand increased, the size of the vehicles also grew, with Tony purchasing two Dodge 6 wheelers. He also added lime spreading to the business, delivering and spreading lime to the local area. Over the years, the vehicles changed to Leyland Reivers 6 wheelers and then to Artics to cope with the work demand, including a contract with ICI to transport salt. In addition to tippers, the company expanded into Curtain siders and Box trailers to transport a variety of palletized goods, such as nursery plants, timber, baled sawdust, electrical goods, food, and aggregates.

In addition to our own fleet, we collaborate with a range of sub-contractors to cover the work during peak seasons.

We carry a wide range of building and decorative aggregates and offer a nationwide transport service for various industries. We take pride in our reputation for providing a reliable and cost-effective service, which is evident in our growing customer base and significant growth in trading.

Our fleet of specialized vehicles is equipped with on-board weighing devices to ensure maximum payload is achieved. The vehicles also have sheets to keep loads covered and secure.

All our drivers are trained to a high standard, including driver CPC and Health and Safety guidance. They also undergo EPIC and NVQ training for the quarry industry, with regular updates.

We specialize in the haulage of various products, including decorative aggregates, sand, gravel, topsoil, compost, salt, sawdust, and more. Our team operates from our office site in Market Drayton and is available 24/7 for all your haulage needs.
