With 30 years of experience, we specialize in designing, manufacturing, supplying, and erecting timber frame structures for a variety of projects, such as custom homes, passive and low-energy homes, housing developments, social housing, and commercial buildings.

At Unitek, we have a unique working philosophy that focuses on delivering high-quality products, flexibility, and excellent service. We offer complete support to our clients through our technical expertise and project management. Our operations are based in Antrim, near Belfast, in Northern Ireland, where we have a state-of-the-art factory. We also have an office in Preston, in the north-west of England, which houses our dedicated sales and technical team.

Technical:
At Unitek, we not only prioritize customer care but also specialize in designing, manufacturing, and delivering timber frame buildings that meet the most demanding standards. Our highly experienced and quality-conscious personnel are available to provide practical support and advice both on and offsite. Our design team and technical support are proficient in handling complex structures and meeting the performance requirements of the “Code for Sustainable Homes.” This level of expertise is especially valuable for contractors who are new to using timber-frame solutions.

Manufacture:
Unitek utilizes the latest technologies and innovative components to produce highly energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building solutions that meet or surpass our customers expectations. Whether its individual homes, housing developments, or multi-storey apartment blocks, we have the capability to deliver. In fact, we have recently completed our largest project to date – a 165-room motel for the Days Hotel chain in Leeds.

Working within a purpose-built and quality-assured environment, we can produce precise panel structures, ensuring seamless construction of high-quality off-site manufactured structures. This approach not only saves time for key contractor personnel but also significantly reduces construction time, resulting in substantial savings on labor, plant, security, and insurance costs typically associated with traditional building schedules.

Accreditation:
At Unitek Timber Frame Systems, we exclusively use sustainably managed timber from Scandinavian or Canadian woodlands, and our insulation materials meet strict energy-efficient standards without the use of CFCs. We hold various accreditations, including ISO9001, UKTFA Q-Mark quality scheme, Q-Mark Plus, and a National Standards Authority of Ireland Certificate. As a member of TRADA, Unitek is a company you can trust to work with.

The Team:
As our product and industry continue to grow, we are expanding our team to ensure we meet the needs of our customers. We value investing in the skills and experience of our employees through ongoing research and training, promoting their professional development. To serve our increasing customer base in England and Scotland, we have established a dedicated Design and Commercial team in Preston and now have a dedicated team covering Scotland.

We are delighted to welcome Alastair Rennie, the inventor of the RTC Passivewall system, to the Unitek team. Additionally, we will be collaborating with Independent Structural Design, a company formed by the former technical team at RTC Passivewall. This partnership gives Unitek an unrivaled and experienced team for passive homes and buildings across Ireland and the UK.
